PESHAWAR: A man brutally killed his own mother after her fight with his wife here in Paharipura area of Peshawar district in K-P Thursday night.

A local Ali Gohar resident of Bakhshi Pul area of Charsadda Road in Peshawar lodged an FIR with police stating that he received a phone call that his sister Mujahid Bibi haD been shot by her own son on which he rushed to their home.

“I found her badly injured and shifted her to hospital with the help of her neighbours but she breathed her last before reaching the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH). Her son Kashif killed her because Mujahida and Kashif’s wife had frequent fights,” he stated in the FIR.

Police registered an FIR in the case and sent the body for autopsy.

After registering the FIR police raided the house of the accused and arrested him.

Police said that Mujahida Bibi and Kashif’s wife had frequent fights and it was almost a daily routine. During one such fight he took his pistol and shot his own mother leaving her badly injured.

She was rushed to the hospital after neighbours entered their house after hearing her cries and firing but she died on her way to LRH.

On the other hand in Yakatot area of Peshawar a man was deprived of Rs58 lakh cash at gun point.

A man Ahmad Zai lodged a complaint with police stating that he is a scrap deal and he was on his way from Industrial Estate Kohat Road when on Ring Road three bike riders chased and intercepted him and snatched Rs58 lakh cash at gun point.

The accused made good their escape after committing the crime. Police lodged an FIR in the case and started investigation. It is worth mentioning here that broad daylight robberies have been on the rise in Peshawar without inviting much attention from the quarters concerned.
