Man held for ‘raping daughter’

Police arrested a man who had allegedly raped his daughter.

According to the police report, it was stated in the case registered by the in charge of investigation at Ghulam Mohammadabad Police Station, Naeem Alam Din, that the victim, a student of Grade V, studied at a government school.

At the end of the school hours, her teacher asked her to go home, but she refused to do so and told her teacher that her father had been raping her for the last six months.

She told her teacher that she had told her mother about it, but her mother asked her to hush up the matter in order to avoid disgrace.

She told her teacher that her father called her to his room the other night and sexually assaulted her due to which her health condition deteriorated.

On the information of the schoolteacher, the SHO of Ghulam Mohammadabad, Mian Wajid Hussain, reached the spot and arrested the accused.

A case was registered against the accused under Section 376 of the PPC on the complaint of the investigation in charge and the process of investigation had begun.

The SHO of Ghulam Muhammadabad, Mian Wajid Hussain, said that Sub-Inspector Azmat Shehzadi had been getting the medical examination of the girl done.

Police said that the girl had a brother who lived independently, and police would ask the girl if she would like to go to live with her brother or be sent to the Darul Aman.
