KARACHI: The police have arrested a man who is being charged with the rape of his sixteen-year-old daughter.

The Shah Latif police registered FIR No. 224/08 on behalf of R against her father AK. She has alleged that she has raped by him when she was 13 years old, said SHO Asadullah Mangi.

Late Wednesday night, she informed the police via their helpline 15 that led to a raid.

Mohammad Jehangir, the on-duty officer told Daily Times, that accused has denied guilt. He was married twice and one of his wives is the mother of R. He moved from Quetta to Karachi nearly 20 days back. SHO Ali Hassan Sheikh said that both people were taken to Civil hospital for medical examinations Thursday. The results are expected Friday.

AK hails from Abbotabad. It is not clear why his daughter chose to call the police in Karachi and not Quetta and three years after the alleged rape.
