CHAKWAL. A local court has sentenced Mirza Jameel, the prime suspect in the murder of Hina Kanwal
from Choa Saidan Shah, to death and ordered him to pay Rs8.6 in compensation and blood money.
District and Sessions Judge Chaudhry Muhammad Tariq Javed issued a detailed verdict, stating that the
convict was sentenced to death for the wom-an's murder and seven years of rigorous imprison-ment along with over Rs8.1 million in blood money for the killing of the eight-month-old unborn child. The court also clarified that failure to pay the ordered compensation would result in additional imprisonment for the convict.
