KASUR: Police have arrested a man for killing his wife and an 11-month-old son here. Siraj Din, a farmer, spotted the bodies of a woman and a child near BS Link Canal and informed police on August 15. On information, police rushed to the spot, took the bodies into custody and started investigations. The bodies were shifted to a Chunian hospital and announcements were made in different villages. After three hours of announcements, Muhammad Saleem of Kando Khara village came to the police station and identified the bodies as his wife Kiran Bibi and son Adil Saleem. On Friday, police arrested Saleem on suspicion. During interrogation, he confessed to committing the double murder. The couple had two children – three-year-old Kashaf and 11-month-old Adil – from the wedlock. On August 14, Saleem, his wife Kiran and son Adil were on their way when he shot his wife dead and threw his son in the canal.
