ISLAMABAD: A man committed suicide after killing a girl over a marriage issue, the police said on Monday.

The incident took place in the area of Sohan, where the man came to the house of the girl and fired in her head, killing her on the spot. Shortly, the man also killed himself by shooting in his head too, they added.

The man was in his early 20s and a relative of the girl, who was 16, and a school student, the police said.

Earlier, there was some differences between the families of the man and the girl, the police said, adding that today he got a job and when he returned home he asked his family that he wanted to tie a knot with the girl.

However, there was some argument and he left house with a pistol, the police said, adding that he went straight to the girl’s house and at that time the family of the girl was also present there.

However, he managed to reach the girl and after killing her he committed the suicide, they added.
