Man accused of murdering wife refused bail

PESHAWAR: A local court on Monday dismissed the bail petition of a man, who was arrested and charged with murder of his wife. Additional District and Sessions Judge, Fazal Sattar Khan, dismissed the bail petition filed by Naseeb Jan, a resident of Bahadur Killay in Peshawar. Counsel for the complainant, Aminur Rehman Yousafzai, submitted that father-in-law, Misri Khan had charged the son-in-law with murder of his daughter Sumaira, a resident of Pakha Ghulam village. He submitted that first the husband had reported to the police that his wife had committed suicide.

However, the postmortem report later proved that she had not committed suicide but was shot dead. He said the father-in-law charged the accused later after receiving the postmortem report. The lawyer informed the court that during investigation, the four-year-old son of the deceased woman, Zohaib, also informed the police that his father first entered a room and then he heard gun shots. The minor son stated that his father then took his mother out of the room.

The lawyer submitted that relations between the wife and husband were not good as the accused had ties to another woman and wanted to marry her.
