Kot Lakhpat police have arrested Tanveer, the main suspect in the honour killing of a couple. Following an investigation, the police traced and apprehended Tanveer in the Kahna area. During interrogation, Tanveer revealed that his cousin Izhar and the victim, Benish, were in a relationship and wanted to marry against their families’ wishes, leading to tensions with Benish’s family. The couple had moved to Lahore and started living in a rented flat owned by Benish’s uncle on Chandrai Road. On the day of the incident, Tanveer, along with accomplices Ziauddin, Alauddin, Riazuddin, and Kashif, carried out the murders.
