Love marriage ends in tragedy

PESHAWAR – Six persons were killed in separate incidents of firing in the outskirts of Peshawar on Thursday.

Sources said that the first incident occurred in Tehkar area when unknown armed persons ambushed a newly-married couple in Tehkal area of Peshawar. The killed persons were identified as Haji Rahman, resident of Peshtahra and his wife Sajida Kainat. It had been reported that both of them had a love marriage a few days ago.

Another incident occurred in Mattni area of Peshawar. Asmatullah, son of Nasrat resident of Kohat was on his way to Peshawar along with his two sons Iftikhar and Noman in his car bearing registration number MRA 223. When his car reached Sra Khwara check post in Mattni area, some unknown armed persons tried to kidnap them, but when they showed resistance, the armed persons opened fire on them, which resulted in the killing of Asmatullah on the spot. Another incident happened in Marta area. Body of Israr-ud-Din, son of Amir Khan, resident of Shagi Henkian was recovered in Baghono area.

According to his parents Israr-ud-Din went out of his house at 7 PM yesterday (Wednesday), but his dead body was found in Baghono area.

In another incident Pervez, son of Azam Khan and Taira, wife of Rahamzali, slammed Rahmat Ali, son of Mubarik Shah, resident of Regi, with sharp edged axe, which resulted in the killing of Rahmat Ali. The Police said that the incident occurred due to some family dispute between Mubarik Shah and Pervez.
