MULTAN: Justice Qasim Khan of the Lahore High Court Multan Bench has ordered police to provide security to a 17-year-old Vani girl. In a petition, Sana of Rajanpur said that her father Mukhtar Hussain arranged her marriage with a 60-year-old man for Rs 200,000. She said that she escaped and reached the house of her aunt in Rahimyar Khan where she filed a separation suit in a local court. Later, a Rahimyar Khan-based Jirga declared the girl Kari for filing a separation suit. On Wednesday, the court heard the petition. The Vani girl also recorded her statement and demanded security.
