‘Kidnapped’ student still untraced

The 19-year-old, Yusra, a second-year student of the computer sciences department of the Sindh University, Jamshoro, was allegedly kidnapped eight days ago by Sultan Shah and Yasir Channa, according to the FIR lodged by Sardar Siddiqui, the father of the girl.
Sources said the police raided the house of the accused in the Shahdadpuri Mohalla, where it transpired that the accused were in Sukkur along with the kidnapped girl. the sources said the police have obtained the cellphone number of Sultan Shah and Yusra’s father talked to him.

Siddiqui agreed that in case Shah wanted to marry Yusra he would have no objection, a sources close to the investigation told The News.The alleged kidnapper gave the address of a local hotel to meet with the father but did not turn up, the source added. The police have now proceeded to Sukkur for further investigation.The police feel that it might be yet another case of love marriage instead of a kidnapping. “During my posting here for last one year all such kidnapping cases turned out to be love marriages,” Hyderabad District Police Officer (DPO) Ali Ahmed Junejo remarked.
