SUKKUR: Four people, including a teenage girl and a woman were killed on the pretext of karo-kari in different parts of upper Sindh on Tuesday and Monday.
A teenage girl, along with her alleged paramour, was gunned down by her brothers in Keehar Mori village in the Dad Leghari area near Mirpur Mathelo on Tuesday.
Roshan Pitafi and Sudheer Pitafi suspected that their sister Safia, 19, had illicit relations with Farid Pitafi alias Garho, 22. Today both the accused, along with their accomplices first shot dead Safia and then raided the house of Farid, and pumped bullets in his body put and fled.
On information, area police shifted both the bodies to Civil Hospital Mirpur Mathelo for post-mortem.
The Dad Leghari police on the complaint of Abdul Rasheed Pitafi, brother of Farid, has registered a case against Roshan Pitafi, Sudheer Pitafi, Bangul Pitafi, Ismail Pitafi and Alam Pitafi, but no were made till the filing of this report.
Meanwhile, a man was shot dead by armed persons amid karo-kari allegations in Jacobabad on Tuesday.
Deedar Mastoi was going to home when unknown armed persons shot him dead and fled.
Area people said that the murder was the outcome of karo-kari dispute. However, no case was registered.
In another incident, a woman was put to death by her husband on the pretext of karo-kari in Hayat Wah village situated in Dakhan area of Shikarpur district on Monday night.
Over the suspicion of karo-kari, accused Abdul Qadeer Shar shot dead his wife Saeeda, when she was in sound sleep and fled.
