KASUR: The high level committee established to investigate incidents of sexually abusing hundreds of children in village Hussain Khanwala of Kasur yesterday submitted its final report in an anti-terrorism court.
As per report, the committee has declared 15 accused as guilty of the heinous crime. It is pertinent to mention here that the joint investigation team (JIT) had been formed by the chief minister after the victims expressed distrust over police.
The JIT headed by DIG Abubakar Khuda Bakhsh and comprising high ranking officials from various departments investigated all the cases registered in this regard without making any delay. The committee after recording statements of as many as 400 witnesses submitted its final report in the court. The report confirmed that 239 children were sexually abused. The accused include Haseem Amer, Tanzeelur Rehman alias Kali, Yahya, Saleem Akthar Sherazi, Atiqur Rehman, Waseem Abid, Asif and others.
