Jinnah family threatens hunger strike in support of rape survivor

KARACHI: Muhammad Aslam Jinnah, grandson of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, has demanded stern action against the culprits of the gang rape that took place at the Quaid-e-Azam mausoleum.

Condemning the heinous crime, Jinnah said, “We will observe a hunger strike if the culprits are not arrested and the victim, RK, does not receive justice. The Jinnah family will strive to protect the honour of Quaid-e-Azam, even if we have to take to the streets. We are also considering prohibitions on items such as cell phones etc,” he said.

RK has alleged she was raped by five men more than a week ago after she was either drugged or shown a TT pistol. She has alleged that she was raped in a storeroom. Her case has gone to court.
