Jinnah College for Women tops
PESHAWAR: The pre medical group students of Jinnah College for Women Peshawar clinched all the top three positions in the overall result of Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination, 2013, as the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar announced results on Monday.
According to results announced, Nazish student of Jinnah College for Women grabbed top position with 996 out of 1100 marks, Kainat Nageen and Kausar share the second position by secured 995 marks, while Sana Hamayun of the same college secured the third position with 994 marks. In the Pre-engineering group Kashan Ahmad of Islamia College Peshawar bagged top position and obtains 993 marks, Ali abbas of Peshawar Model Degree College, Dalazak Road Peshawar clinched second position by securing 973 marks and Sheikh Muhammad Usman bagged third position by obtaining 971 marks.
Similarly, in the General Science and Computer Science group Hadiya Tahir of Jinnah College for Women bagged first position with 927 marks, Mehwish Durrani of Government Frontier College for Women Peshawar get 917 marks and Samir Khan from Shinwari Model College Landi Kotal bagged third position with 905 marks.
In Humanities Group Ayesha Bibi of Government Girls Higher Secondary School University Town Peshawar bagged 886 marks, Nabeela Raheem 880 and Ayyaz Khan 875 marks. In the Theology Group Haji Shabeer Ahmad Hasan get 876 marks.
According to the result in the annual examination more a total of 46203 students were appeared out of which 35530 were declared successful with a passing percentage of 76.74.
In Pre-Medical group, around 11213 male and female candidates were appeared out of which 10406 were passed the exam with a percentage of 92.80. In the Pre-Engineering Group 7978 male and female student were appeared in which 7460 were declared passed and the percentage of the result were 93.51 percent.
In the General Science Group 3707 male and female students were appeared out of which 2984 were passed and the result were 80.50 percent Similarly, in Humanities group, as many as22802 male and female students were appeared out of which14246 students declared successful with a percentage of 62.48. During the ceremony, the Forward Girls College Hiyat AbadPeshawar was declared the best institute of the year.
The BISE Peshawar Chairman Dr Shafi Afridi, while addressing the ceremony said that hectic efforts were being made to put the operational activities of the Board on modern lines. For the purpose, he added a computerized system has been introduced to speedily extend facilities and services to students.
Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Muhammad Atif Khan was the Chief Gust on this occasion. He congratulated the top positions holders, and their parents, for showing outstanding performance in the examination, and asked them to keep continue their struggle and hard work to serve the country in future in a benefiting manner.
He said that Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf would provide education facilities to students at their doorsteps. He said that around 3.5 million children are out of schools and they will first trying to convince the parents of these children and brought them to schools.
He said that very soon they will start the enrollment process in the schools and for this their Imran Khan will lead them. He said that they have planned to standardize 400 schools in the province where every kind of facilities will be provided.
The chief gust distributed certificates and shields among the top position holders of the SSC examination 2013 and also distributed Rs50,000, Rs45,000 and 40,000 cash prize among the first three position holders in SSC examination.
