Issuance of female MOs’ appointment letters ordered
KARACHI: A division bench of the Sindh High Court, comprising Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Malik Mohammed Aqil, ordered the Sindh government to issue offer letters to the candidates who had passed the examination for the post of Female Medical Officers in the Sindh Population Welfare Department.
The petitioners, Dr Seema Nasir and Dr Samina Shabbir Kalyar, submitted through Advocate Ghulam Akber Jatoi that the Sindh Population Welfare Department invited applications for male and female medical officers in January 2007. They stated that they had passed the written, viva voce tests and the Sindh Public Service Commission had recommended them for appointment, however, the government has been putting off issuance of their appointment letters.
