QUETTA: Speakers in a ceremony held here on Thursday to launch the Scoping Research Study urged the parliamentarians to play their due role for implementing laws on domestic violence and violence against women in letter and spirit.
The launching ceremony, organised by the Balochistan Foundation for Development, was largely attended by ministers, members of Balochistan Assembly and representatives of organisations, including the UNHCR, Unicef, WFP, Unesco, government officials, civil society, media and political parties.
Balochistan Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Dr Ruqayya Saeed Hashmi said that she strongly condemned any act of violence against women, whether physical, sexual, mental, etc.
