NOWSHERA: A man allegedly burnt his wife to death in the limits of Akora Khattak Police Station, police sources said on Sunday. The sources said that a 17-year-old Shahnaz, who had got married last year and was in the family way, had left her in-laws home in Thall tehsil of the Hangu district after a domestic dispute. However, her brother brought her back.
The sources said her husband allegedly poured petrol over her and set her on fire while she was asleep. She was taken to Peshawar in a critical condition wherefrom she was shifted to Wah Cantonment. However, she succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. The police arrested the accused from the hospital premises and handed him over to the Paharipura Police Station.
