MANSEHRA: A man, accused of killing his newlywed wife, confessed to have committed the crime in the name of honour on Friday. Earlier on Wednesday, the police had arrested Tanvir Ahmed, a resident of Shamdhara village, on charges of murder after he was accused of killing his 21-year-old wife Fauzia Jabeen. Jabeen’s mutilated body was found from a deserted place after she went missing from her parents’ house last week. The Oghi police, on the basis of her cell phone data, interrogated Ahmed, who confessed to the murder. According to his statement, he had found Jabeen with a stranger at a hotel on June 30, which prompted him to kill her. The suspect was produced before a magistrate and sent to Mansehra jail on judicial remand.
