‘Honour’ claims teenager’s life

JACOBABAD – A teenaged boy was stabbed to death on the pretext of honour , at village Pahlwan Larwani, in the limits of Ghari Khairo Police Station, some 40 kilometers from here on Saturday.

According to SHO Fida Hussain Shaikh, Qadir Bakhsh Larwani stabbed Shahzado, 14, son of Ghanhwar Larwani, to death with the help of a knife, and after committing the crime rushed to his home and tried to kill his daughter namely Bhobhran, 13, by strangling her.

The daughter felt unconscious and he understood that his daughter was also killed and managed to escape from the scene.

“After receiving the information, police rushed to the spot and moved the body to a nearby hospital for an autopsy, while the unconscious girl was also shifted to a hospital from where she was referred to Chandka Medical College Hospital [CMCH] for further treatment due to her precarious condition,” the SHO added. The body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives after conducting the postmortem examination.

However, condition of the girl was stated to be out of danger, the SHO said. The motive behind the incident was said to be honour .

Later, however, police claimed to have arrested the accused Qadir Bakhsh Larwani, while further investigation into the incident is underway.
