Barcelona, 26-Jan-2026 (PPI): Pakistan's government has affirmed its full commitment to resolving the challenges faced by its overseas population on a priority basis, acknowledging their vital role in strengthening the national economy through remittances, according to the Federal Minister for Law and Human Rights, Azam Nazeer Tarar.
Speaking at the Overseas International Convention organised by Hope of Overseas Pakistanis Spain, the minister lauded the diaspora as a "valuable asset" and the "true builders of Pakistan."
Mr Tarar further reiterated the administration's resolve to safeguard the rights of its citizens abroad and to enhance facilitation measures intended for their welfare, recognising their consistent contributions during difficult periods for the country.
The event, which gathered office bearers and representatives from the Hope of Overseas Pakistanis organisation worldwide, also featured addresses from other prominent figures, including the Chairman of the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation, Syed Qamar Raza Shah.
Other notable speakers included Pakistan's Ambassador, Dr. Zahoor Ahmed, Consul General in Barcelona Murad Ali Wazir, Patron of Hope of Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Sajid Tarar, Chaudhry Amanat Hussain Mehr, Mehran Tarar, Saeed Sheikh, Chaudhry Sajid Gondal, and Member of the Pakistan Bar Council, Muhammad Ahsan Bhoon.
Throughout the convention, various speakers commended the significant role of the Pakistani diaspora and congratulated the event's organisers on its successful execution.
