Girls outshine boys in Inter exams

HYDERABAD: Girls swept almost all top positions in the annual examination for the Higher Secondary Certificate Part-II of all groups, according to results announced by the Hyderabad Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education on Friday.

Top three positions in pre-medical group were bagged by Maheen Shahid with 947 marks, Sadia Shaikh with 940 and Rida Islam with 939. In pre-engineering group, Rohama Sajid secured first position with 956 marks, Mohammad Umer obtained second with 939 and Darshna got third place with 938.

In general science group, Sidratul Muntha secured first position with 832 marks, Faiza second with 775 and Mohammad Shaharyar made it to third place with 770. Our Larkana correspondent adds: Girls outshone boys in annual examination for the HSC-II of pre-medical group while boys exacted revenge by outclassing girls in the pre-engineering group, according result announced by the Larkana Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education on Friday.

According to the result, in pre-medical group, Babar Hussain Tunio stood first by obtaining 961 marks, Sajjid Ali Syed came second with 960 and Syed Muzammil Shah got third position with 959. Among girls, Rida Alias Suman Kalhoro came first with 965 marks, Uroosa Shaikh made it second position with 964 and Anjalee Kumari secured third with 963.

In pre-engineering group, Ali Raza Abro secured first place with 967 marks, Kashif Muneer Morio stood second with 965 and Shazoor Ali made it to third with 964. Among girls, Anmol Shahani clinched first position with 958 marks, Myra Jatoi came second with 956 marks and Yasmeen Ismaiel made it to third with 955 marks.
