Girls clinch top positions in BA, BSc exams
PESHAWAR: Girls clinched top three positions in BA/BSc annual examinations of University of Peshawar, which announced results on Saturday.
According to a press statement issued from the office of controller examination, the BSc part-II examination was topped by Rakhshanda Yousaf of Jinnah College for Women who grabbed 456 marks out of 550.
Noor-ul-Saleem Afridi of the Jinnah College for Women, and Ameena Yousaf of Army Burn Hall, stood the second and third positions by achieving 443 and 440 marks, respectively.
In BSc part-II exam, of 3,950 students 2,391 students were declared pass, with 62 per cent result.
Similarly, 4,622 candidates appeared in the BSc part-I examination, of which 1,785 were declared passed with 41 per cent result.
The BA part-II exam was topped by Sara Shabir Khan of Jinnah College for Women who grabbed 424 marks out of 550, followed by Amna Talat of FG College and Maryam Zahid of Jinnah College for Women, obtaining 414 and 409 marks, respectively. In BA part-II exam, 23,960 students appeared, and 3,715 were successful.
In BA part-I, of 27,008 students 7,511 were declared successful. The pass percentage was 29 per cent.
Likewise, 367 students appeared in BSc Nursing part-II exam, and only 40 were declared successful, while 578 students appeared in BSc Nursing part-I exam, and 131 passed.
Similarly, 21 students appeared in BA part-I Theology exam and only 4 students got successful, while 42 students took part in the examination for BA part-II Theology, and 6 students passed.The statement said Detail Marks Certificates (DMCs) have been dispatched to the candidates.
