Girl seeks protection

SUKKUR, April 2: A girl who embraced Islam recently by Khateeb Asadullah of Gole Masjid, Barrage Colony Sukkur has prayed to the Sindh High Court Sukkur Bench to provide security as she was facing threats from her relatives.

She informed the court that after embracing Islam she had been re-named Saima from Sindhu and was married to Bakht Zada.

However, her father Bhajan Lal filed a kidnapping and rape case against her husband and some other relatives in Rohri police station. She termed it false and baseless. She said she had married Bakht Zada of her free will after which Justice Farrukh Zia adjourned the hearing for a week.
