KHAIRPUR: A young girl, “H”, who was rescued from being raped identified the alleged criminal amidst sobs and tears on Wednesday when she was produced before a court. She told the court of the fourth civil judge Khairpur, in her 164 statement, that accused Mashooque Shah kidnapped her at gunpoint while she was returning home from school along with other girls. She said the accused took her to his house near Dilshad Park and when he tried to rape her she raised alarm and the police and her two relatives, by breaking the door, rushed inside the house and rescued her. After recording the statement, the court directed the investigation police Khairpur to submit the final challan of the case along with the medical reports.
