Gilani wants credible data on women

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has asked the Population Census Organisation to apply improved methodology for the upcoming population and housing census to ascertain the percentage of female population and women`s contribution to various nation-building sectors.

Detailed and credible data on women would help the government formulate pro-women policies, Mr Gilani said on Thursday while inaugurating a seminar titled “Importance of Population Census 2011 and Pakistan`s Development.”
