FWCCI urges women to play role in national economy

FAISALABAD: Establishment of Faisalabad Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FWCCI) is a great opportunity for the female entrepreneurs which would also help young educated girls to start their own businesses by utilizing the facility of this prestigious platform.

Renowned marketing expert Habib Sheikh expressed these views while addressing a seminar on ‘Building an entrepreneurial mindset and culture’ Organized by FWCCI here on Wednesday. He said Faisalabad is industrial, commercial and business hub of the country and women belong to this city are also blessed with entrepreneurial acumen and aptitude but many of them are handicapped to start their own businesses only due to the domestic circumstances, social values, societal behaviour and paucity of funds.

Continuing Sheikh said like male businessmen, female entrepreneurs also need the facility of manufacturing and marketing facility even at the cottage level. “They could start manufacturing of products in according to their financial capacity while marketing issues could be resolved up to some extent by the online marketing system,” he said adding women while remaining within their houses could produce a number of innovative products with minimum investment which could be sold-out through online marketing system.

FWCCI president Robina Amjad told that organization of female entrepreneurs on a trustable and dedicated professional platform was a major challenge for her which has been resolved with the creation of this chamber. She told that FWCCI is trying its optimum best to sensitize women for playing their role in the national economy. She particularly mentioned 1st Entrepreneurs Festival held in the University of Agriculture Faisalabad. She said FWCCI is regularly and organizing meetings, seminars, sessions and symposiums for the guidance and awareness of female entrepreneurs. She said this seminar is also a continuity of our humble effort for the mainstreaming of female entrepreneurs.

Earlier the participants of the workshop introduced themselves in addition to identify their individual and collective problems along with their viable solutions.
