First woman CSS officer from Gilgit selected

ISLAMABAD: Ms Fozia Zulfiqar became the first women CSS officer from Gilgit, when she was selected as the Assistant Accountant General, in the recently held CSS examination for 2008, a press release said, on Tuesday. She holds a Masters degree in Biological Sciences from the Quaid-e-Azam University and is the daughter of a prominent trader, Zulfiqar Ali.

Her elder brother is also a CSS officer and is currently posted in the Prime Minister’s Secretariat. Her success is an encouragement for all those female students and women of the Northern Areas, aspiring for a bright career through education and self effort.
