Nawabshah–The People University for Medical and Health Sciences after up-gradation at an expense of Rs. 200 million has started functioning.
Earlier it was working as Peoples Medical College for Girls. This was disclosed by the first Vice Chancellor Prof Azam Hussain Yousfani while talking to media at conference hall of the university.
The said that the construction work of university buildings would commence on 200 acres after release of funds.
He said that it would be the first Women Medical University where different departments would function and the students would get the facilities of best education and research.
He said that seats were also increased after the up-gradation. Vice Chancellor said that apart from girl students from Pakistan, girls from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldev, Sudan, Saudi Arabia and other countries are getting medical education.
