Sir: A committee of the Female Legislators headed by the Speaker of the National Assembly Dr. Fahmida Mirza has been formed to practically take up the issues of women’s rights and violence against women from their respective assembly floors to protect the rights of women who have been neglected, ignored and deprived of justice.

As a test case and to prove its effectiveness, why cannot this Parliamentary Committee resolve the issue pertaining to Meera’s marriage, which has been haunting this nation for months and in particular the media?
