In a shocking event in the Dadu district of Sindh, a father took his 16-year-old daughter’s life in a fit of rage and despair. Firdous Rafiqan, the victim, had defied her father’s wish to marry her off to a man of his choosing. This heinous act took place within the jurisdiction of the Bhand Mari Police Station in Mehar.

The Unfolding of Tragedy

Following the unfortunate disagreement, the father turned to violence, mercilessly shooting his daughter and subsequently himself. The victim’s brother, Wassim, reported the incident to the authorities. He shared that their father’s insistence on Firdous’s marriage had led to this tragic end.

Police Confirmation and Investigation

The local police have confirmed the incident and moved Firdous’s body to the hospital for the necessary legal procedures. The father’s body, too, has been taken into custody as the investigation continues.
