Provincial Ombudsman Sindh has taken notice of harassment of Farzana Jamali, a student of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Shaheed Benazirabad (Nawabshah) and directed Vice Chancellor and a faculty member of the university to appear before the ombudsman on September 24.
In separate show cause notices issued to vice chancellor Arshad Saleem and Aamir Khattak, faculty member of the university, provincial ombudsman stated that Farzana Jamali complained that she was allegedly subjected to harassment, which caused her mental agony. She lodged the complaint under Section 8 of the ‘Protection against Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2010.” Ombudsman directed Arshad Saleem and Aamir Khattak to submit written replies within five days and also appear at provincial ombudsman office on September 24.
