LAHORE: A 20-year-old woman died under mysterious circumstances in the South Cantonment area, police said on Friday.
Police investigators said that Sumera Bibi, a resident of Nishat Colony, was rushed to a hospital after her condition got deteriorated where she died later.
Doctors say the woman died because of poisoning. Police are investigating whether the divorced woman committed suicide or she was poisoned to death.
The family told the police that the condition of Sumera got deteriorated as she came back home after meeting her lover Asad. According to the family, Asad had developed affair with Sumera, who got divorce from her husband to get rid of domestic violence. The family also alleged that Asad poisoned her death. The police removed the body to the morgue for autopsy and are investigating.–Staff Reporter
