In a shocking act of honour killing, a young couple, 23-year-old Imran and 20-year-old Zeba, were brutally shot dead in Narowal, just three months after their love marriage, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.

According to police, the couple had married by choice, which enraged the girl’s family.

In a horrific act of revenge, the girl’s relatives allegedly abducted the couple from their home, murdered them, and dumped their bodies in nearby fields.

Imran was a resident of Qila Ahmadabad in Narowal, while Zeba hailed from Mardan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

Their inter-province marriage reportedly became the cause of deep resentment in the girl’s family, leading to this heinous double murder.

Law enforcement authorities have registered a case and shifted the bodies to the hospital for postmortem examination
