LAHORE, Jan 10: A young couple was found murdered at the house of their employer in N-Block of the Defence Housing Authority on Saturday.
Bodies of Muhammad Shaukat, 35, of Khudian (Kasur), and his 25-year-old wife Bushra Bibi were shifted for autopsy.
Police found the woman slain and Shaukat, a gardener by profession, hanged with a ceiling fan at the house of Saad Usman, who had handed over his house to the couple for a temporary stay.
The police got access to the main room after breaking the door of the house.
They suspected that Shaukat first killed his wife and later committed suicide by hanging himself with a ceiling fan.
The police were informed after Shaukat’s mother visited the house early on Saturday and found all the doors locked from inside.
After peeping into the house from a hole on the main door, she noticed body of her son hanging with the ceiling fan and raised an alarm. Shaukat had contracted second marriage with Bushra about four months back while his first wife Sughran Bibi was living at Khudian. He had a son from his first wife.
