THATTA: tragic double murder has sent shock-waves through the local community after a couple was found brutally slain in a rented house in Makli late last night.

The victims have been identified as Sawan and his wife Tah of mina, residents of Balochistan, who had been living in Makli following a love marriage reportedly carried out without their families’ approval.

According to police sources, the couple had moved to the area in an attempt to start a new life away from familial pressures. Initial investigations suggest that the killings

may have been motivated by a personal or family-related dispute, although the exact circumstances remain unclear.

Police have registered a case of double murder against unidentified assailants. “We are exploring all possible angles, including the possibility of honor-based violence,” a senior police official stated. “Efforts are underway to track down the perpetrators.”

The bodies have been handed over to the Edhi Foundation for burial arrangements.

Authorities are continuing their investigation and have appealed to the public for any in-formation that may assist in identifying those responsible.
