JARANWALA: Four people, including a couple, were killed over a marriage issue in Chak 63-RB on Sunday. Farzana Bibi, daughter of Shamir Ahmad, contracted love marriage with her relative Maqsood Ahmad of Chak 612/GB Tandlianwala about two months ago, which infuriated the family of the girl. On the day of the incident, the lumbardar of the village called the family of Maqsood Ahmad for reconciliation. In the meantime, relatives of Farzana Bibi allegedly opened indiscriminate fire. As a result, Ahmad Ali, his wife Nooran Bibi, sister-in-law Fatima Bibi and a relative Akbar Khan were killed on the spot. The bodies were sent to the Civil Hospital for autopsy.
