Condition of government hostels

Sir: I have observed the condition of women’s hostels in Lahore. Being a student living in a hostel, I have to face many problems in my daily life. The food served in the hostels is not healthy and hygienic. The rooms are not clean, ventilated and in one room more than five girls are accommodated.

Moreover, there is no internet facility, transport, etc. Wardens employed in the hostels are uncooperative and sometimes use foul language. The girls do not feel secure there, as there is no proper security system. The government should take appropriate steps for the betterment of government hostels in order to improve the lives of women who live away from their homes.
