CJ takes suo motu notice of girl’s killing
ISLAMABAD – Chief Justice of Pakistan Abdul Hameed Dogar has taken suo motu notice on a news reportregarding the brutal murder of an eight-year-old innocent girl within limits of Golra Police Station in the Federal Capital.
Deceased Fatima Bibi, who had reportedly left her house on November 21, for brining milk from a local market but never returned to home. Her body was later found in the pool of drainage water on January 7, 2009.
When medically examined, the body showed that multiple injuries and rape was cause of the unnatural death of girl.
Golra police had registered a case in connection with the gory incident but no one was brought to book.
Taking note of the matter, Chief Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar has directed IGP, Islamabad to probe into the matter personally and depute SSP Islamabad to submit the Investigation Report on January 29 positively in the Supreme Court.
