Charge-sheet in Farah Dogar case in 10 days

LAHORE: The National Assembly Standing Committee on Education will despatch in 10 days a charge-sheet in the Farah Hameed Dogar case to the chief justice of Pakistan, says committee chairman Abid Sher Ali.

“The charge-sheet is being prepared by the committee in the light of the statement of the journalist who broke the news,” Mr Ali told reporters at the media camp set up near the main entrance to the Punjab Assembly on Thursday.

The admission of Ms Dogar would be got cancelled, he said. Rules were being amended to benefit the daughter of the chief justice but the standing committee would resolve the matter. He called the response of the government towards the issue non-democratic, saying that it seemed the government might have some stakes in the case.
