ISLAMABAD – To end gender-based discrimination and violence, about 1,000 events aimed at raising awareness are going to be launched nationwide on the occasion of ‘International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women’, which is being observed on 25th of November.
The UN General Assembly has designated November 25th as the ‘International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against WomenÂ’, which is observed worldwide. The day is also marked in Pakistan through various activities for public awareness.
Oxfam, a UK based organisation is all set to launch 1,000 activities across country on the occasion of ‘International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women’, which are part of the ‘We Can End Violence Against Women’ campaign.
