Karachi: The bodies of a newly wed couple were found in the bushes at Hassan Punhwar Goth near New Subzi Mandi on Thursday. 30-year-old Shahid Khan and his wife Bilquees, 25, were brutally stabbed and axed to death.
One of the passersby saw the bodies and informed the Super Highway Industrial Area police who shifted the bodies to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
According to the police, a trunk was found near the bodies having the Nikah Nama, according to which the couple got married on May 7 this year.
Police said that the both the deceased used to live in Hassan Hazara Goth in Bin Qasim Town. They fell in love, ran away from their homes and got married. According to police it was a case of honour killing.
