Another woman gang-raped during robbery

KASUR: In another incident within about a week, a woman was allegedly subjected to gang-rape during robbery in the district on Saturday

The incident happened at village Bedian in the Mustafabad Police Station limits while a similar incident had happened in the Pattoki police area about a week back.

On the night between Friday and Saturday, three unidentified robbers scaled the wall of the house of a farmer at village Bedian and held him and his wife hostage at gunpoint.

The robbers, according to the complainant, thoroughly searched the house and collected Rs70, 000, a mobile phone and two licensed pistols.

Later, they detained the complainant in a room and took his wife to the adjacent room of the house where they gang-raped her.

Police said the samples had been taken from the body of the victim and sent for forensic analysis. Police registered the first information report under robbery and rape charges.

On May 26, two unidentified robbers had gang-raped a 13-year-old girl before her family near the Chunian bypass in the limits of Saddar Pattoki Police Station. Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz had visited the victim’s home and assured the family of justice.

Police claimed to have arrested dozens of suspects from the area for DNA profiling.
