Alleged rapist remanded in police custody

SUKKUR: A doctor accused of having raped a teenager was remanded in police custody for three days by a court in Badin.
The SSP of Badin, Sarfaraz Shaikh, on Monday met the victim girl and had her statement recorded.
The alleged crime was reported to have taken place five days ago.
The accused doctor had denied the charges and demanded an inquiry.
Reports said that the victim girl had been with her father as his attendant at a hospital where the man had been convalescing. The suspect worked at the same hospital.
It was alleged that the accused trapped the girl while she had been on her way home from the hospital. The accused kidnapped the girl and took her to his official residence.
