Female robber allegedly gang-raped in capital

Islamabad – A suspected female robber was allegedly gang raped after being kidnapped at F-11/1, informed sources on Sunday. The incident occurred in limits of Police Station Shalimar, they said. The investigators of PS Shalimar were shocked when they entered the CNIC number of female victim in Police Station Record Management System and found her wanted by officials of police stations Women and Golra Sharif in two theft cases. Reportedly police took the victim into custody. According to sources, the women appeared before PS Shalimar officials on August 21 and lodged a complaint that she was working as maid in a house in E-11/3. She alleged that she was waiting for a taxi in F-11/1 to go to E-11/3 when a white car stopped near her. “The driver introduced himself as Careem captain and offered me to sit in the car,” she said adding that the driver gave her juice and after drinking it she became unconscious. She told police she was taken to a house in F-11 where three men namely Asad Shah, Hassan Shah and Hashim raped her for many days. She further added that they had snatched cash, gold earrings and mobile from her. She said the accused dropped her in F-11/1 on August 21 and fled. Police registered a case against under sections 376ii and 365B of PPC and held one accused Hashim during a raid at Sinyari Village. A senior police officer told The Nation on condition of anonymity that the female victim was herself a criminal and wanted by Islamabad police for her alleged involvement in two theft cases. He said the victim refused from undergoing a medico legal test in PIMS to ascertain either she was sexually assaulted or not.  He said, however, police had lodged a rape and kidnapping case against three men. Of them, one has been arrested, he said adding that raids are being carried out to arrest two others.
