KARACHI: A middle-aged man has been arrested by the police for killing his wife inside their house in the name of ‘honour’. The accused allegedly also killed his first wife about 15 years ago citing the same reason.
Thirty-year-old F* was killed inside her house in a katchi abadi in the Metroville area of SITE early Wednesday morning. The accused, identified as 52-year-old Rahim Dad, slit her throat with a sharp object after suspecting that the mother of his three children was having illicit relations with another man.
“My wife had relations with another man. I am not ashamed what I have done,” he said, while confessing to the murder. “I warned her many times but she did not understand. I even tried to convince her the night before I killed her,” he claimed.
The accused said that after a heated argument between them, he first stabbed F with a knife and then slit her throat with a sharp object.
