Karachi: The body of a married woman was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her home in Ibrahim Building, near Labour Square, within the remit of SITE-B police station on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as 27-year-old Rubina, wife of Abdul Qayyum. Her body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi.
Her husband told the police she had committed suicide. However, after medico-legal officers at the Civil hospital found torture marks on Rubina’s body, the Site-B police detained Qayyum for questioning.
