LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Monday took notice of an incident of sexual abuse of a 15-year-old girl and her mother in front of her father in the area of Fort Abbas.
The LHC took notice over the news item published in a section of press regarding the incident, with the LHC complaint cell directing District & Sessions Judge, Bahawalnagar, to probe the matter and submit a detailed report.
According to the news report, labourer Muhammad Shakoor, a resident of Village Chak No257/H, was sleeping in his house when five masked men entered his house and tied him up. They sexually abused his wife and daughter for several hours in front of him.
His daughter got unconscious. Later, the outlaws searched the house, took away wheat and a mobile phone. However, the family recognised one accused, Shahid alias Shadi. The villagers protested against the incident in front of the Fort Abbas DSP Office. The DSP ordered the police to arrest the culprits who nabbed Shahid.
Shahid confessed to the crime during course of interrogation. On his identification, police also arrested other two accused Abid and Irfan.
