On February 16, two sisters were reportedly assaulted by three men under the guise of arranging a marriage meeting in Lahore’s Southern Cantonment area. The police have since registered a case based on the girls’ mother’s statement and apprehended all the named suspects.
The First Information Report (FIR) details that the accused, identified as Jaan Muhammad, Bilal, and Khurram, allegedly administered intoxicants to the sisters before committing the assault. They are also accused of filming the incident and using the footage to threaten the victims into silence.
According to the police report, the suspects initially took the sisters from their home to meet Jaan Muhammad’s family. However, the group instead went to a hotel where the alleged drugging occurred. The hotel owner, manager, and other individuals have also been named in the FIR for their potential involvement in the crime.
The legal process is underway to ensure that all accused face appropriate penalties. The police are continuing their investigation to gather more evidence and ascertain the full extent of the crime. Authorities are committed to ensuring justice is served.
