Lahore, 26-Jan-2026 (PPI): The government has reaffirmed its commitment to an aggressive trade promotion strategy, using the inauguration of a major industrial event to signal its dedicated focus on boosting Pakistan's export environment and driving sustainable economic growth.
The Prime Minister's Coordinator for Commerce, Mr. Rana Ihsaan Afzal Khan, underscored this policy by officially opening the Mega Leather Show at the Lahore Expo Centre in his capacity as Chief Guest.
Recognised as a pivotal platform for Pakistan's industrial economy, the exhibition serves as a major conduit for generating business, fostering innovation, and promoting overseas sales. This year's event has attracted significant interest, hosting more than 200 exhibitors.
The show's importance as a nexus for global commerce and investment is highlighted by strong international participation, including a notable contingent of companies from China.
Following the inauguration, Mr. Khan toured the exhibition floor, engaging directly with domestic manufacturers and international delegates to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the leather sector. His high-level presence is seen as a direct reflection of the administration's commitment to enhancing market access for Pakistani industries through strategic sectoral support.
